Lucknow vs Mumbai on May 16

Currently, LSG occupies the fourth spot in the points table, having secured victories in six out of their twelve games, accumulating a total of 13 points. Their recent triumph came against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where SRH made a total of 182 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to a strong batting display from their middle order. In response, LSG successfully chased down the target in 19.2 overs with seven wickets to spare. Prerak Mankad, playing in his second IPL game, registered his maiden half-century, while Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran also made noteworthy contributions for the Lucknow Super Giants. With 14 points, MI currently stands in third place on the points table, having emerged victorious in seven out of their twelve games thus far. In their previous encounter, they secured a win against the GT. Suryakumar Yadav's exceptional performance resulted in his maiden century in the IPL, enabling MI to set an imposing total of 218 runs for the loss of five wickets. Suryakumar remained unbeaten on an impressive 103 runs off just 49 deliveries. GT faced early setbacks, putting them on the back foot, but David Miller's contribution of 41 runs off 26 deliveries kept them in the game. Unfortunately, GT's chances dwindled once Miller departed. Rashid Khan emerged as the sole warrior, smashing an impressive 79 runs off 32 deliveries, including three fours and ten sixes. Nevertheless, GT fell short of the target by 27 runs, managing to score 191 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Best economical pick – Piyush Chawla is the leading wicket-taker for MI this season and has picked 19 wickets in 12 games at an average of 18.78, an economy of 7.59, and a strike rate of 14.84. He needs only four more wickets to join the elite group of bowlers who have taken 180 wickets in the IPL, making him the third bowler to achieve this milestone.

Top captains & vice captains  Suryakumar Yadav is relishing an excellent season and has found his rhythm with the bat. In 12 matches, the explosive right-hander has got 479 runs at a solid average of 43.55, lacing it with four fifties and one century to his name. In doing so, he is in contention for Orange Cap and will be looking to continue his purple patch in the next game against LSG. Quinton de Kock started his campaign this season with a bang as he scored his 20th half-century in IPL. He has made 99 runs in two games so far at a massive strike rate of 165.

Smart pick – Marcus Stoinis has been one of the best performers for LSG with both bat and ball. He has made 279 runs in 12 innings at an average of 25.36 and a strike rate of 142.34. Stoinis has also picked five wickets at an average of 20, an economy of 9.23, and a strike rate of 13.

Cautious Pick – Avesh Khan has taken just two wickets in his last four outings and might not be the best pick for your fantasy team.

My XI – Suryakumar Yadav (Captain), Quinton de Kock (Vice-Captain), Marcus Stoinis, Piyush Chawla, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, Cameron Green, Tim David, Kyle Mayers
